Problems at J C Bose Hostel

This hostel is given to the toppers of B.Sc 3 rd yr. instead of it there are a many problems like :-

1) absence of mess

2) lack of cleanliness

3)and the biggest is that, here most of the students are not provided with cot and they are compelled to sleep on ground

4) there is no any aqua guard, freezer is there but it is without aqua guard

with so many problems, we are still living.

I personally wrote a application to DEAN OF STUDENTS  of BHU, but that application was rejected by his secretories, they told that you first get signed your application by your warden then come to us. And warden is not signing the application since he  has told us that cots are not avialable at BHU so we can’t provide you manage personally. And cot is needed by us, we can’t sleep on floor/ground snakes wander during night hours in lawn and in gallaries.

We are Chemistry Victims…Oooops Students

Terrorism is the in thing. But we at BHU are peace lovers.
Dont get confused by the picture. The guy is not a member of Al-Quaida. He is merely a victim of Chemistry. It was a practical day at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and we were dealing with the stinky Benzoic Acid. The smell was so pungent that all the students moved at the top of the building to have some fresh air. Even that was not enough as the mixture needed to be stirred continously. So covering the face was the only way out. Thanks to Pawan (in the picture) for dealing with my experiment You must have noticed two beakers in front of him, one is actually mine :).

The most wanted “HOLIDAYS”

I know most of you will agree to me when it comes to the number of holidays we get at Faculty of Science and Commerce.

I feel that more holidays shall me sanctioned for students at BHU. Its really tiring maintaining constant attendance at the faculty. We hardly have time for fun. No university in India has such strict rules for attendance. Whenever I tell my friends (outside BHU) that we have a compulsion of 90% attendance at college they start laughing. Some have even confirmed that is 90%  the sum of attendance for all the three years. Often I feel that others students outside BHU enjoy the real college life. College is more like a school in Faculty of Science. The holidays are really SPECIAL at BHU.

Long Queues — BHU’s characteristic feature

One of the most chaotic days of Faculty of Science was when B.Sc. second year results were out. There was a flood of students at dean’s office. You know you are in BHU when you come across looooooooooooooooong queues. In country like India, which is so technologically sound, I think that the university can atleast afford to publish the results online to avoid long queus and rush of students.

Anyways it was really worth a picture.
